After a fierce battle, we come to the final hand. Michelle has fought long and hard to take her once waning chip stack to a tower of power of Lua Tran. In the final skirmish, Michelle took it up for a substantial raise and Lua pushed all in. No time elapsed as Michelle complied and called. She turned over big slick suited, the AK Lua the A T . The flop brought the Q K 5 . Michelle had her at hello. The Q hit the turn and now Lua had some hope. Any ole jack. Alas, the 7 spanked Lua on the river giving Michelle the take down. 
Lua Tran from Atlantic City, NJ took 2nd for $7,626.
Ashley McClenon from Walton, NY in 3rd for $4,190. After chips moving round and round with button stealing galore, we finally get two hands to go against one another. Michelle pushed all in with her big stack and Ashley called. Ashley showed the A 6 and Michelle the K J . The board brought the 5 7 3 . The 9 came on the river and Ashley looked like she was going to eke by. But one of those leftover diamonds, the 9 hit the turn and we lose Ashley.
Kim Demare from Swarthmore, PA and she is out in 4th for $3,352. Kim Demare pitted her K 9 against a K 7 and it looked good until the flop. It came the K 7 2 and was followed by the 6 3. NO help for Kim.
Gail Ellspermann from Katonah, NY is out 5th for $2,514.

Sharla Lehrmann from Austin, TX is out in 6th for $2,095.Next out is yours truly. Lua raised from the small blind when it was folded around to her. The call was another 5K for Sharla. She calls. The flop brought three little cards with two clubs. Lua bets 10K and Sharla, like a fool, called. The turn brought the K . Lua moved all in and Sharla called all in. Sharla showed the K 5 with top pair and a club draw. Lua did much better when she turned over pocket kings. Ut oh. Sharla had to catch one of the remaining clubs in the deck and the 2 was not one. Sharla is out.
Li Gaeta from Freehold, NJ takes 7th for $1,676. Li Gaeta got all her chips in the middle and got a call from Kim Demare. Li showed the A J but Kim had her cut off with a pair of hooks. The board brought no ace for Li and she is out.
Kimberley Bye from Egg Harbor, NJ is out in 8th $1,257. Kimberley Bye and Kim Demare go to battle. Kimberley got into the hand with the best of it, the AK against Kim's JT...but when the J hit the board, it took Kimberley from roses to thorns.
Kelly Pasierb from Alexandria, VA in 9th for $838. Kelly Pasierb and Lua Tran tangled in one of the first hands of the final table. Kelly had the A 2 and Lua had presto, the 5 5 . The fives held up and we lose Kelly.
We had 219 entrants with a prize pool of $43,800.
