Eli Elezra appears to still have the chip lead with about $95,000 in chips, and David Chiu (who tripled up early in the day) is near the $80,000 mark.
The two players who have been doing the most damage to the World Poker Tour this season are both out -- Gavin Smith and Michael "The Grinder" Mizrachi. (Mizrachi was also the defending champion here at Commerce, so that title is now available to anyone who wants it -- as long as they still have chips.)
Haralabos Voulgaris, who finished second to Mizrachi a year ago, is still alive, as is Antonio Esfandiari, who won this event a few years back.
Actress Jennifer Tilly is out, but her boyfriend Phil "Unabomber" Laak is going strong with over $50,000 in chips. She can relax and have some fun while he spends his time at "work" at the tables.
Other celebrities who are still alive: Gabe Kaplan, James Woods, Jerry Buss, Shannon Elizabeth, and "Survivor" All-Stars Amber Brkich and Rob Mariano.
