Looks like we had 343 players saddle up for the $500 Limit Hold’em event yesterday. They started with 3K in chips and took off runnin’. They played until 2am this morning, as usual and ended up with 38 players waiting to do battle today at 2pm. They are all looking for their piece of the $171,500 pie. Here is a list of the top ten chip leaders. Only 36 will get paid, so we will have to fnd the bubble first.....must have been a long nights sleep for some players, eh?

Ravinderjilt Anand

Ravinderjilt Anand wins the Borgata Winter Poker Open Event 1 with the first prize of $171,944.

Having played for less than 6 months and finding himself sitting in 1st place, I would say it will be hard to get Ravi away from the tournament circuit. This was his very first tournament ever. Not bad Ravi!

Billy moves all in

jason

OH my goodness gracious. Ravi rasied to 700K and Billy moved all in over the top of Ravi. Ravi couldnt wait to call and slammed his K K down for the show. Billy then slowly turned over his meager T T . The board rolled out the Q 4 A 7 9 and this hand leave Billy Hill naked with only 30K in front of him. He is not lookin' good at the Borgata Winter Poker open.

Anthony v Ravi

jason
21st January 2006

With two players, and a flop of the A 9Q there was a bet and call. On the turn, the 3 mustered a bet of 125K from Anthony and Ravi jumped over him to 250K. Anthony dropped his quest and Ravi turned over a stone cold buff with the 5 6 off.
