Alan Goehring

Daniel Quach has the button, he moves all in, and Goehring pauses a moment before calling. Goehring shows Kd-8h, but he's behind Quach's Ad-Jh. Nobody is a huge favorite here, but Goehring will need to improve to stay alive.

The flop comes Qc-Jd-9c, and Quach is still in the lead with a pair of jacks, but Goehring has picked up a gut-shot straight draw. The turn card is the Kh, and Alan Goehring takes the lead with a pair of kings. Now Quach needs an ace or a ten to win the tournament.

The river card is the 7c, and Alan Goehring wins the hand.

The chips are counted down, and it's several minutes before everyone realizes that Alan Goehring had more chips.

Alan Goehring wins the WPT Commerce L.A. Poker Classic, earning $2,391,550 and a $25,500 entry into the WPT World Championship at the end of the season.

Daniel Quach is eliminated in second place, earning $1,162,560.
